Our mission is to rescue,
raise, rehabilitate and release
sick, injured and orphaned
native wildlife.

What we do

Our primary mission is to rescue, raise, rehabilitate and release sick, injured and orphaned native animals.

Our dedicated community of volunteers seek to educate and raise awareness about the importance of conservation of our native wildlife as well as advocating for our wildlife and their habitats. We also offer training about rescuing and caring for native animals.

Wildcare is licenced (and regulated) by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to support over 22,000 square kilometres of south-eastern NSW. We work closely with neighbouring wildlife rescue and rehabilitation groups in NSW and with our ACT equivalent.

Wildcare Queanbeyan is authorised to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured, sick and orphaned wildlife through the NSW Department of Planning and Environment Biodiversity Conservation Licence No. MWL000100220

History

Wildcare was founded by a dedicated group of likeminded native-wildlife rescue and care volunteers, and became an incorporated association under NSW law as Wildcare Queanbeyan Inc, on 30 September 1992.

Our volunteers form one of the oldest, continuously operating, native-wildlife rescue and rehabilitation groups in New South Wales.
